We’re not going to pretend otherwise. Every portrait begins as an AI render and is then art-directed by hand until it genuinely looks like your animal — the right ear set, the right markings, the right face. That part is skill, and it is the part we don’t automate.
If what you want is a hand-painted oil on canvas by a human artist, we are not that, and we’d rather tell you now than take your money.
The only promise that matters
It has to look like your pet. Not a generic animal of roughly the right colour. If it doesn’t, say so — we fix it, or you get your money back. That’s why we show you the artwork before we print it.
Getting the photo right
- One pet per photo, in reasonable light. A phone photo is completely fine.
- Show the ears clearly. Ear shape is the thing owners notice first, and it’s the hardest thing to get right from a distant shot.
- No people’s faces in the photo, please. A hand or an arm is fine. If someone’s face is in shot we’ll ask you for a different picture.
- Blurry, very dark, or far-away photos are the usual reason a portrait misses. If yours is borderline, we’ll ask before we start.
